Every passion has a beginning, a spark that lights the way and gives it meaning.

For me, that spark has always been Pegs.

Short for Peggy Lass - Pegs isn’t just my horse. She’s my best friend, my safe place, and the heartbeat behind everything I do. She’s the reason I picked up a camera in the first place, and the inspiration behind the name Heart Horse Photography.

Pegs was gifted to me in 2017 as what will forever be the best birthday present I could ever wish for after I'd been riding and working with her for many years prior to this. She has been by far my biggest challenge yet, but I wouldn't change a single thing!

If you're not familiar with the term heart horse, it's used to describe the one horse that touches your soul in a way no other ever could. The one you connect with on a level that's hard to explain — where love, trust, and understanding go beyond words.

From the very beginning, Pegs taught me what true connection looks like. By simply existing side by side, she reminds me daily how powerful the bond between human and horse can be.
